Shadow is a handsome, happy, friendly boy that has proven to be good with young children and other dogs.
Here's what his foster family has to say about him:
•Shadow is a loveable dog. He adores attention and just wants to be loved.
•Very quiet and content when surrounded by family members.
•Playful and very gentle - constantly looks to get attention from family members. Shadow will follow you around the house with a toy in his mouth.
•He pulls hard on leash so would benefit from leash training.
•He is house trained and doesn't jump on people.
•Appears to show signs of separation anxiety – barks and howls when he realizes we’ve left the house - so we have music and the TV turned on when we leave. We also place a camera that detects and casts audio in our living room. When he starts barking, our cell phones triggers a notification. We then start speaking to Shadow through our cell phones. For now it seems to temporarily resolve his anxiety.
•He grabs shoes and other items from the floor to express he’s ready to play. We are teaching him only to take toys that belong to him. He does not destroy the items, he just picks them up.
•He doesn't know basic commands such as sit/stay/lay down. We are working on this these.
•He doesn't respond to his name so for now, we call him Shadow and Chewy – Chewy because he sounds exactly like Chewbacca when he plays.
•This boy has a big personality and is loved by everyone in his foster home.
