This sweet young boy is Scrim, he came into Lab Rescuers when his owners could not look after him anymore due to work travel.
Scrim at only 1 year old is still a puppy at heart. He has lots of energy, loves to play. When other dogs are running with him to retrieve “his ball” he is fine with the other dog getting it. He corrects easily, even when the the rescue volunteer gave him a correction. He jumps up, so no small children at this point. He knows commands, sit, stay down and walks nicely on a leash. He was taken back by one of the volunteers that had a hat and sun glasses on. He just backed away and barked, not in an aggressive way. The volunteer took of his hat and glasses and Scrim not only was fine with him but came to give him lots of kisses. He did great riding in the car. He met many dogs and people at the Vets office and was friendly with all. He is going to be a big beautiful boy. I thought I would say he’s a diamond in the rough, but to be honest he’s not too rough.
Stay tuned for updates as he settles in to his foster home. If you are interested in meeting him please fill out an adoption application on the LR website.
