Chip is estimated to be about 6 years old, small in stature and seems to be in good health after being treated for a minor medical issue.
Chip's foster mom reports that he's a real gentleman, and loves to be petted. He is housetrained, crate-trained, and has excellent house manners. He rides very well in the car too. Sit, shake, down - yep, Chip knows all of those....and he takes treats very nicely.
On walks, he loves to go and sniff the world - sometimes he'll pull a little bit for a few minutes, (like most of them do) but corrects easily and quickly. When he has seen other dogs, including ones that bark at him, he hasn't responded with a bark back at them. Around the house, he's gentle and quiet and happy to be with his people. Chip is currently living with a cat, and while he's curious about her, he isn't aggressive toward her - so there's a chance he could be ok with cats. Chip is fairly energetic but once tired, will curl up and nap--on your lap if you let him! He was great for his bath and stood nicely to be toweled dry and even let his mom dry him with a hairdryer.
Update as of 2/28: Chip is doing great and is gaining weight nicely. He gets along with his foster cat and hasn't displayed any aggression toward the cat. He loves his daily walks and can't wait to explore new areas. After his walks, he likes to take it easy and hang with the family. He seems to do fine in a crate and seems to be housetrained. Are you the lucky family who decides to give Chip his "FOREVER HOME"?.
**Chips training deposit requirement is unique in that the adoptive family will need to complete 3 training session with Markim Pet Resort in Carmel Valley. Continuity is a must as this is where Chip received special in board training.
