Nico came to LR by way of a good Samaritan who found him in a shelter in Ensenada. He is absolutely the sweetest boy with an adorable face. During his initial evaluation, he and the evaluators dog, Homer liked each other a lot. Nico was really good about all the poking and prodding and walked sweetly on lead. He was emaciated upon intake, but thanks to his wonderful caring foster, his coat is shiny and his eyes are bright.
He is a cuddle bug! And really likes to be with his special person. He is on the smaller side, probably 65 lbs max would be best for his small frame.
He sleeps well in his crate at night or on his dog bed next to our bed. He is housebroken. He is medium energy, enjoys walks, riding in the car and playing with my dogs, so another dog in his forever home would be really nice for him. He can be dog selective, so a test with your dog is recommended. He loves both my dogs, so it would be nice for him to have a doggie companion.
He has shown no interest in the pool. Older kids or no kids would be best as he still takes treats too eagerly! He will also need a home without cats!!
He knows sit, paw, waits his turn for treats and waits to eat until his foster mom says OK! He has turned into a great dog and will make a great family member!
