Description: In her short life, Piper has learned to think that the world is not a very friendly place. Piper, who was just a number then, was hiding in the corner of her kennel at the shelter, petrified of the sounds, petrified of everything. She had been in two noisy shelters since early February, so frightened, that potential adopters would see how scared she was, and just keep walking. She was unwilling to even walk to the other side of the kennel to say hello or even make eye contact, making it hard to find a new home.

Well, Piper's luck drastically changed and she is on her way to learning that life is good! Lab Rescuers rescued her, she's out of the noisy shelter, into a loving foster home, and her sweet personality is beginning to show, as she settles in. It will take some time and lots of TLC for Piper to learn that the world is a good place, and people are kind and won't hurt her. We have the time and the loving volunteers willing to help this little girl. We will keep you updated on her progress.

Update from her Foster Mom: Piper is a very sweet and loving puppy about 11 months old. She loves playing with other dogs and going in the car to the dog park. She loves running and wrestling and is very gentle. She would do best with a family that has a playful, friendly dog. Piper has come a long way in such a short time. She is sensitive, calm and submissive and would need a family that is patient and understanding in training her. She will make a great family pet. She's also a licker and very affectionate - just a sweetheart!
