Description: Meet little Lady, she came to lab rescuers as an owner turn in. She is a super sweet, well tempered companion who is calm and loving. She loves walks, and snuggling, is friendly with other dogs and is house trained.

She is a boxer-lab mix with short, soft black hair. She was politely cautious when meeting new dogs in our house, but became acclimated and comfortable with them very quickly. We did some crate training and she learned quickly, but she prefers to cuddle and be around her humans. She’s extremely well mannered in the house and does not actually need to be crated as she’s not a chewer. If you are watching TV, she loves to cuddle or be near you on the couch; she also immediately slept at the foot of our bed without issues, so it was clearly something she was used to.

She has had limited interaction with children, but as long as it was just her and the child she seems fine. She can be distracted by other things in the outdoor environment, especially squirrels or outside cats roaming around. For this reason, she needs a little work on leash training to ignore fast moving critters. We took her on long walks, as well as to restaurants and bars and she was well behaved. She barked at the UPS guy but would come when called and would stop barking. She responds to her name and is learning basic commands. We took her to a small, completely fenced in dog park and she did well with all dogs. She wasn’t overly playful, but she also was not aggressive in any way.

She would be great for someone who is looking for a companion for themselves and would also be good living with another dog. She does fine left alone so a family that works outside the home would also work for her. She doesn’t mind being in the car, but does like to look out the window so child locks are recommended.
