Tucker escaped from a large fenced yard at his previous home, then came home really banged up. Owners thought he was run over by a car and rushed him to emergency where they found out they weren’t able to afford the medical costs to save him. Our partner vet and the family reached out to us and Tucker is now part of the LR family. He is sweet as can be, but has quite a rehab in front of him after his planned surgery on Thursday. Please think lots of good thoughts for him.
Tucker has been in his rehab foster home for 4 days now. I have learned a few things about him. He is very sweet, loving gives big sloppy kisses, has not complained about being crated except when he eats or does his yard trips. He is highly food motivated, wants to catch crickets and lizards even with a cast and being held in a sling, my guess is he has a fairly high prey drive. He has not had a chance to interact with the other 5 dogs in the home as he needs to be quiet and the two youngest dogs here are pups and not calm.

Update 6/22/18 - Tucker is such a great dog, he loves all people and most dogs and loves going to the dog park. He is smart, very loyal and wants to please his people. He is house trained, rides nice in the car and loves to play. He would do best with a family that is home more then not and has another dog. He can be a little possessive with toys. He needs training with recall, chewing and being alone. Tucker will have a full recovery from his broken leg. He will be an incredible dog once he learns these things. A real SWEETHEART!
